I have been a student of KAOS since 2004, and am impressed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff working there. I find that they are always innovative with their teaching methods, integrating the computers within the class room, and also with their informative webinars. They are always changing things up, with renovations and with their great sales promotions. Kudos to KAOS.
DON'T JUST DREAM ABOUT BEING IN A SHOW CHOIR.. JOIN ONE
Our show choir program brings together groups of kids into age specific show choirs made up of 15 - 22 kids. The show choir program is run in 15 week sessions. Each choir meets once per week for 2 hours of rehearsal. Each choir is led by two specially chosen theatre professionals who specialize in dance, song, choreography and specifically have experience leading kids in large format groups. In the final week of the session, rehearsal will move to a local theatre to prepare for the session ending concert. Students can expect to prepare 2-3 songs complete with choreographed dance routines.
The show choir experience has much to offer and has a number of benefits for young people. Boosting confidence is just the beginning. Working as a team promotes cooperation and gives young people a chance to support each other both musically and emotionally while working towards a common goal. Incorporating movement into the singing experience is empowering for people of any age. Over their 30 hours of training, members of our choirs benefit from the experience of their coaches who are professional vocalists, dancers and choreographers. The final concert gives members the chance to experience the feeling of performing on a professional stage with professional lighting, sound and a live audience. That's fun.

What types of music will performed?
Primarily pop/rock music. At the beginning of each session, the coaches will present the choir with a number of choices. The choir will vote on which songs to do.
Do I need prior dancing and singing experience?
No, the idea of the show choir program is to develop both your singing and dancing abilities. We assume that you have no previous training. Naturally, some members will have more experience then others but our coaches will manage the various skill levels to make sure everyone looks and sounds great.
Do I need any special equipment?
No, just casual cloths and running shoes. We provide all of the technical equipment, mics, PA, pianos etc...
Will I need to buy costumes?
No, our production numbers do not depend on sets or costumes. T shirts with a standard pair of jeans or black pants is all that you'll need for the final performance.
Can I miss rehearsal or drop out?
Because this program is a group effort, we have a specific set of policies that apply to the show choir program. Please click here to review them.
What happens if I sign up and you don't get enough people?
If we don't get at least 15 kids registered in a choir, we will not run the program. Anyone who has registered and paid will receive a full refund.

The total cost of a full session of the Show Choir Program is $450 and is HST exempt. The total number of hours in a typical session is 30 made up of 15 weeks with a 2 hour rehearsal each week. Tickets to the final performance will be sold for $15 each.
