Electric GuitarBack a few years ago, Godin released the original incarnation of the Kingpin. At first, the 5th Ave (as the non electric version is called) was an archtop reminiscent of a time gone by but with all of today's level of modern playability. Thanks to its modern design and manufacturing techniques, the 5th Ave produced incredible tone along with greater projection then any other traditional archtop. The result was a truly fantastic sounding and very affordable guitar that almost every guitar player could and would enjoy playing. Naturally, almost everyone wanted to plug it in which led to the second guitar in the line, the Kingpin. Godin added a neck position P90 pick up to the 5th Ave. As everyone predicted, the result was incredibly smooth tone. Taking it one step further, Godin recently released the Kingpin Cutaway which features a pair of P90's opening up an even greater range of tonal possibilities.
In stock now we have the 5th Ave as well as the Kingpin and the Kingpin Cutaway is slated to arrive any day now. Drop in to see for yourself why these guitars are so popular. For more detailed information from Godin

Finally, the Godin Session arrived in our store a few days ago. Eagerly awaited, we were not disappointed. The Session is the third guitar in this line and to date the most affordable at right around $500 depending on the finish. The Session is based on the award winning design of Godin's custom made Passion guitar. Although scaled down to fit into a price range, it shares many feature of its more advance sibling. Obviously it is shaped in the spirit of a Fender Stratocaster but this is where most of the similarities end. It is constructed from Canadian Basswood and has a rock maple neck available with either a rosewood or maple fingerboard. For pick ups it uses Godin GS-1 single coil and a specially made Godin humbucker in the bridge position which can be split into a single coil pick up via the push pull tone knob. With a vintage style tremelo and high ratio machine heads, this guitar is hands down the best value we have ever seen in this price range. You even get a deluxe Godin gig bag included in the price. We've got them in stock now for you to check out. For more information, check out our

Our friends at Godin are on fire. Over the past two years they have introduced far more guitars then any other manufacturer out there. And... it's not just quantity, they have all been high quality and high value offerings. Their most recent is a continuation on a theme, the Session is a less expensive and slightly different version of the the recently introduced Progression. The Session is a Strat type guitar available in either a mat or high gloss finish with either a maple or rosewood fingerboard. Loaded with Godin pickups, 2 singles and a humbucker in the bridge position. This bridge pick up also has a coil tap for increased versatility. Superb sounding and feeling, sure to be another winning instrument for Godin. At less then $500 this guitar is undoubtably the new, best value in this price range. We should be receiving our shipment in the next few weeks, stay tuned.
