To be honest, when I was first presented with yet another portable digital recorder I was quickly looking for the least painful way to end my life. How many times can we reinvent this product. Well it's official, I'm just a grumpy old guy. This product is awesome and Boss has done a great job taking a familiar concept and improving it with a bunch of great features. Here is an abbreviated list... 4 track at a time recording (unheard of at this price), built in stereo condenser mics for field or rehearsal recording, awesome guitar, bass and vocal effects and its an audio interface that can be used with just about any DAW. It comes with Cakewalk Sonar 8.5 LE with a ton of audio loops and backing tracks included. It's easy to run and the sound quality is staggering. All for under $500. It's true, I've been around for a long time and I get bored with products sometimes but this is a fresh, new and very improved version of a product that has been available for a long time. okay... I was wrong and I'm sorry Mr Boss.
