Welcome to the Parent and baby sing-a-long program at Kaos Music Centre. This newly developed program is designed as a weekly class for parents and their child age infant to 2 1/2. Each week children and their parent will enjoy a 40 minute class of singing, movement, rhythm instrument playing and bonding. This class is led by our vocal ensemble instructor Tessa Springate who accompanies the children using our state of the art digital pianos as well as guitar.

Every 10 weeks, this class explores a new set of themes in the songs that they sing. While there are new songs every week, the “theme” songs are repeated each week. So, while having fun, this repetition helps your child learn about the world around them. As well, movement and rhythm instruments are used to promote dexterity and coordination as well as a general musical sense. While this program is designed for the children, the parent will be busy participating as well. Bonding with your child is one of the main components of this program. We believe that at this age, its all about having fun with the music and each other.

When do the classes start?

Classes begin the week of September 22nd and continue until the end of June.

What days and times are the classes offered?

Currently, we have not set our schedule yet for September ’08

How do I sign up and pay?

To sign up for this class you can call or drop in to the store. We will let you know if there is space available and if so, register you. You will pay for 10 weeks at a time following our session schedules. If you start in the middle of a session you naturally only pay for what is left in that session.

Can I drop out of the program early?

Yes, as with all of our lessons you are free to discontinue lessons with us at any time. Simply inform our store staff and we will promptly remove you from our schedule and refund any lessons that have not yet happened.

What about missed classes and cancellations?

Because this is a group class, we do not offer any credits or make up classes for missed attendance.
