Every year in June we hold our annual recital. Students from our school come together to perform a piece for friends and family highlighting their achievements and progress from the past year of lessons. Students range in age from 4 to 60 and all share one thing in common, a love for music. Unlike almost any other activity, performing a piece of music demands that the player not only remember the proper notes but also requires them to dig deep inside themselves to make an emotional connection to the music. While this is difficult to explain, it is easy to see when you watch these remarkable young students. Music, it's one of the most remarkable things to take part in and almost as much fun to watch.
